Seared and Roasted Pork Tenderloin
Seared and Roasted Pork Tenderloin – Juicy, tender pork seared to perfection and oven-roasted for rich, savory flavor. Served with a warm apple-based sauce.
INGREDIENTS
· 1lb pork tenderloin – SGC# 219740
· ½ tsp salt – SGC# 052100
· ½ tsp pepper – SGC# 170517
· ½ tsp garlic – SGC# 191374
· 2tbl olive oil – SGC# 065312
· ½ cup heavy cream – SGC# 195487
· 2oz apple Juice – SGC# 081646
· 1 cup diced apples – SGC# 191912
· ½ cup White Wine
DIRECTIONS
1. Clean and trim the tenderloin removing all silver skin.
2. Season the tenderloin with salt, pepper and garlic.
3. Place 2 TBLS of olive oil in a cast iron skillet on medium high heat
4. Sear the tenderloin on all sides rolling it in the pan.
5. After you have a good sear, pour in ½ cup of white wine to the skillet and place in a preheated oven at 400 degrees.
6. Let it cook in the oven until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.
7. Remove from the oven and remove the tenderloin from the skillet.
8. Place the skillet back on medium heat and add a ¼ CUP of white wine to deglaze the skillet.
9. Add 2 TBSP of butter and 1 cup of diced apples and sauté until softened.
10. Add ½ Cup of apple juice and simmer for 1 minute.
11. Stir in ½ Cup of Heavy Cream to fortify.
12. Remove from heat and ladle over the tenderloin.
