Baked Feta with Honey Dip
Baked Feta to perfection. This warm, creamy feta with honey dip is the perfect shareable for any occasion. Pair it with a toasted pita, grilled sourdough, or crostini for serving.
INGREDIENTS
· 8 oz block of Greek feta cheese (in brine, not crumbled)
· 2–3 tbsp high-quality extra virgin olive oil
· 2 tbsp wildflower honey (or orange blossom honey for floral notes)
· 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
· 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
· Zest of 1 small lemon
· Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
· Toasted pita, grilled sourdough, or crostini, for serving
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat Oven: Heat to 400°F (200°C).
2. Prepare Dish: Place the feta block in a small oven-safe baking dish or cast-iron skillet.
3. Season: Drizzle feta with olive oil. Sprinkle with thyme, lemon zest, and black pepper.
4. Bake: Roast uncovered for 15–18 minutes, until the edges are golden and cheese is soft but still holds its shape.
5. Finish with Honey: Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using.
6. Serve: Serve warm, letting guests spread the feta onto bread or pita.
