Crispy Chili Shrimp

Savor the bold flavors of our Crispy Chili Shrimp. These succulent Great American Seafood shrimp are perfectly fried to a golden crisp and tossed in a spicy, tangy chili sauce. Garnished with fresh shredded cabbage and cilantro offering a delightful kick in every bite in a warm flour tortilla. Serve as tacos or on their own for a tasty meal.

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise – SGC# 123527
  • 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce – SGC# 124106
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sriracha – SGC# 487030
  • 1 pound Terra Sea Shrimp  – SGC# 340253
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk – SGC# 194563
  • 3/4 cup seasoned flour – SGC# 057525
  • 1 tbsp chili crisp – SGC# 556883

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a small bowl add the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce and Sriracha and stir.

2. In a second bowl add the shrimp and buttermilk and stir to coat all the shrimp.

3. Remove from the buttermilk and let excess liquid drain away.

4. Coat the shrimp in flour.

5. In a heavy bottomed pan add 2-3 inches of canola oil and heat to 375 degrees

6. Fry the shrimp until lightly brown, 1-2 minutes on each side.

7. Once fried coat with the sauce and serve immediately.

8. Add favorite ingredients to make taco. Shredded cabbage, cilantro, chili sauce, flour tortillas.
