Josh Stoecklein

We want to brag about one of our sales team members, Josh. He is a District Sales Representative who works in the Northeast Region of Missouri. He prides himself on being someone who “gets up, gets out and gets after it!” He spends his very busy day servicing his accounts, visiting customers, speaking with co-workers, buyers, brokers and SGC specialists on numerous topics. He tries to find out which products or strategies are the best fit for customers. He enjoys helping with menu ideas, sharing his restaurant knowledge and ideology, and putting customer satisfaction at the top of his priority list. He is constantly managing finances and developing future ideas for continued success. The time and dedication that Josh puts into his job is truly remarkable and appreciated. Josh has been with the SGC team for a little over two years and has found that there are no “me’s and I’s” at SGC, meaning that he believes in We and Us. It is a powerful thing when everyone you work with is pushing the company forward and willing to help in any way they can. He encourages new employees to ask questions, whether they have been doing this for 10+ years, or just starting out. He believes that SGC is unique and special and is proud to work for a family-owned company that is supporting businesses across the states 

Josh enjoys competing with his team and gaining knowledge from them and feels like he is a part of a great group of people. “I think the thing that I like the most is that we all view our customers as “SGC’s” customers” so that teamwork and pride in who we are and what we represent really comes out. I think we all understand that when the customer “wins,” SGC wins, so we can all continue to move forward and keep building this thing up!” 

Something that people may not know about Josh is that he really enjoys going after small businesses, food trucks, home catering companies, etc. Watching them build their business and having to scale up because they are becoming so noticeable in their communities is one of his favorite things. He really enjoys talking about “the business.” In the next five years, Josh would like to have one of the largest areas in the company and keep pushing SGC forward. The idea of holding the role of Business District Manager for the Northwest MO Region excites him. 

When Josh is not working, he loves to play golf, sit around a BBQ with friends and family, as well as compete to see who is the best dart/cornhole thrower. We see that Josh’s competitive spirit stretches beyond the walls of SGC! He loves all Missouri sports teams and enjoys watching games with friends. If he were ever to travel to some place in the world that he has never been, he would choose Italy. The history and lore of the area has always fascinated him. Visiting the Colosseum, Vatican City, Venice, and so many other historical sites really would be an exciting thing. 

Josh is not turned away or put down very easily. He would contribute that to his sports background and upbringing. He is motivated and driven to be better than yesterday. We are incredibly lucky to have Josh communicating with and servicing our customers and putting forth his best effort to drive SGC’s success.
