SGC is proud to be an employer that recognizes and rewards our dedicated team members, allowing for growth and advancement. Katrina, our Pricing and Business Analyst, is a prime example of someone who has worked her way into new roles.
Katrina’s first role with SGC started in our Warehouse as a clerk at the Will-Call desk. She then transitioned to the Driver Check-in position where she worked with the drivers who were processing returns. Shortly after Katrina’s experiences in the Warehouse, she was given the opportunity to work in Customer Service, where she served as department manager. You can now find Katrina in her current role, which she enjoys very much. Most of her day is filled with analyzing price request emails from the sales force. When it is the end of a month, quarter, or year, one can find her and other analysts typing away as they work with vendor deviations. She refers to this as a magical time.... When asked about what she enjoys most about her team, she said
“The leadership is extremely solid, and our teamwork is unmatched. We are a smaller department, but we are all very hardworking and driven individuals that make for a really great team.”
She appreciates SGC’s culture and that we have a family-first culture. She says it is something that runs deep here and she will never take it for granted. Her advice to new employees is to “Keep at it. Work hard and stay positive and opportunities will come knocking. SGC is amazing at promoting within and finding new ways to keep the employees engaged.”
Katrina is blessed with a great sense of humor, making others laugh with her positive spirit and wit. Her personality, exposure to different departments and work ethic play a large part in the great foundation she has at SGC, and she looks forward to expanding and building her knowledge, digging deeper to understand things rather than just skimming the surface.
Katrina is extremely proud of her two “mini-me’s” Alaina and Amelia and the fact that she gets to work at SGC with both of her parents. Katrina prides herself on having a great head on her shoulders and being someone others can rely on, while being a hard worker and loving mother. She is always trying to be the best version of herself for her girls, herself, and her coworkers. Her dream would be to visit Iceland, to see the northern lights, beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, volcanoes and to swim between two tectonic plates!
Katrina has been with SGC for the past seven years and we are so lucky to have her on our side. She is always a notable example of a devoted, hardworking, individual who loves to have fun and get her work done.
